The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office serves Wexford County, Michigan, by enforcing laws, operating the county jail, and ensuring public safety through community-focused services.

About Us

The Sheriff’s Office provides 24/7 public safety services through its Law Enforcement, Corrections, and Animal Control divisions. It handles emergency and non-emergency response, investigations, traffic and substance enforcement, and community policing.

Sheriff Taylor, Undersheriff Harnish and 52 staff members of the office manage criminal justice services, inmate care, animal control, and specialized patrols (Marine, Snowmobile, ORV). Officers serve on teams such as the Dive Team, Emergency Response, Crime Scene, And Accident.
